Make Traditional Tea

We are gonna make popular and traditional tea that we need…

So again, along with another recipe!

Ingredients

For Green Tea:

  •  1 teaspoon green tea leaves (or 1 tea bag)

  •  1 cup hot water (not boiling, about 175°F / 80°C)

  •   Honey or lemon (optional)

For Black Tea:

  •  1 teaspoon black tea leaves (or 1 tea bag)

  •  1 cup boiling water (about 212°F / 100°C)

  •  Sugar, honey, or milk (optional)

For Chai (Spiced Milk Tea):

  •  1 teaspoon black tea leaves (or 1 tea bag)

  •  ½ cup water

  •  ½ cup milk (or dairy-free milk)

  •  1 teaspoon sugar or honey

  •  1 small cinnamon stick (or ¼ teaspoon cinnamon powder)

  •  1-2 cardamom pods (optional)

  •  ½ teaspoon grated ginger (optional)

For Matcha Tea:

  •  1 teaspoon matcha powder

  •  1 cup hot water (not boiling, about 175°F / 80°C)

  •  1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Before We Start

  • Use fresh tea leaves or high-quality tea bags for better flavor.

  • Avoid boiling water for green tea & matcha to prevent bitterness.

  • Use a tea strainer for loose leaves if not using tea bags.

  • For stronger tea, steep longer or use more leaves.

Instructions

Make Green Tea

Step 1: Take a pan and heat the water for a couple of minutes.
Step 2: Steep (keep in water for soaking or to set) green tea leaves or a tea bag for 2-3 minutes.
Step 3: Strain it and add honey or lemon if preferred.
 Done! Drink your green tea!

Make Black Tea

Step 1: In a saucepan, boil a cup of water over medium flame.
Step 2: Steep (keep in water) black tea leaves or a tea bag for 3-5 minutes.
Step 3: Add sugar, honey, or milk—your choice.
 Black tea is done!

Make Chai (Spiced Milk Tea)

Step 1: Boil ½ cup of water with cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger for a couple of minutes.
Step 2: Add black tea leaves and boil for 2 more minutes.
Step 3: Pour ½ cup of milk and bring it to a good boil.
Step 4: Strain it and sweeten it with sugar or honey.
 Enjoy your spiced tea!

Make Matcha Tea

Step 1: Heat the water over medium to low flame, then turn it off after warming.
Step 2: Take a bowl, add 1 tsp matcha powder into a little warm water, stir it until smooth, then add the remaining hot water. Whisk until it gets a frothy texture.
 Sweeten with honey if you choose to sweeten.

Serve

Serving tea as tradition:

  • Minimal design set with a cup and saucer

  • Rustic wooden tray

  • Pastries and baking

  • Samosas (snack made of flour)

Good to hear! So for it, add warm milk to black tea for a creamy taste. Popular in chai, English tea, and Hong Kong-style milk tea.

Fantastic! In real Pink tea, also called Kashmiri chai, gets its color from green tea, baking soda, and milk.


What about in an electric kettle?

It's gonna be, use the kettle or saucepan to boil water, then pour it over tea leaves or a tea bag. Do not brew (boil) tea inside the kettle.

It’ll be, place a tea bag in a cup, pour hot water, steep for 3-5 minutes, and remove the bag. Add sugar or milk if needed.
