How to Make Pad Thai – Easy Recipe

An amazing taste of Pad Thai will boom your taste buds. Try this style, and within 30 minutes, you’ll have a bowl!

Ingredients

For the Noodles:

  • 200g rice noodles

  • 2 tablespoons oil

  • 200g chicken, shrimp, or tofu (cut into small pieces)

  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 1 egg (beaten)

  • 1 cup bean sprouts

  • 2 green onions (chopped)

  • ¼ cup crushed peanuts

  • 1 lime (cut into wedges)

For the Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon tamarind paste (or 1 tablespoon lime juice)

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes (optional)

Before We Start

  • Soak the rice noodles in warm water for 15–20 minutes until soft, then drain.

  • Prepare the sauce beforehand for quick cooking.

  • Use a wok or a large frying pan for the best results.

Instructions

Prepare the Sauce

Step 1: Take a bowl for preparing the sauce. Add 3 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp fish sauce (optional), 1 tbsp tamarind (imli) paste (or 1 tbsp lime juice instead), 1 tbsp brown sugar, and ½ tsp chili flakes. Stir well until dissolved.

Cook the Protein and Egg

Step 2: Take a pan over medium flame and put some oil.
Step 3: Add chopped garlic and stir until the aroma comes out.
Step 4: Add washed chicken, shrimp, or tofu and cook until fully done.
Step 5: Take a bowl, crack the egg, and beat it.
Step 6: In the pan, move everything to one side where there is space. Add the beaten egg there. After half a minute, mix all ingredients together well.

Cook the Noodles

Step 7: Drain the soaked rice noodles and add them to the pan. Pour the soy sauce and fish sauce mixture over them to coat evenly. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until the noodles turn tender and the sauce is absorbed.

Add Vegetables

Step 8: Add bean sprouts and chopped green onions. Stir for a minute.
Step 9: Turn off the flame and set the pan aside. Transfer the food into bowls, place them on a tray, and top with crushed peanuts. Serve with extra sauce and enjoy every bite.

Serve

Make bowls, add Pad Thai, and serve it alongside spring rolls and iced tea.
