Cava pita chips are made from normal or whole wheat pita bread. Make Cava, air fryer, Cava chicken. We will do it as easily as we can so we stay at least and taste.

Ingredients

  • 4 whole wheat pita bread (or regular pita bread)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

  • Salt to taste

  • Freshly ground black pepper (optional)

Before we start

  • Use Fresh Pita: For crispy chips, use fresh or slightly stale pita bread. Fresh pita has the best texture for baking.

  • Cut Evenly: To ensure even baking, cut the pita bread into uniform triangles. This helps them cook at the same rate.

  • Customize the Seasoning: You can add other spices like cumin, chili powder, or za'atar for a unique twist. Adjust the seasoning to your taste.

  • Watch While Baking: Pita chips can go from crispy to overcooked quickly, so monitor them closely as they bake.

  • Serve with Dips: These pita chips pair beautifully with hummus, tzatziki, or a yogurt-based dip for a delicious snack.

Instructions

Prepare Pita Bread

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the pita bread into 8-10 wedges depending on the size of your pita. Separate the two layers of pita to make the chips more crispy.

Season Pita Chips

Step 2: Take a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Whisk it. Brush the mixture evenly over both sides of the pita wedges. You can also drizzle the olive oil and sprinkle the seasonings directly onto the wedges and coat them.

Bake Pita Chips

Step 3: Arrange the pita wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet. Place it into the oven for 8-10 minutes, flipping them until crispy from each side. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning. Remove the pita chips from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.

Serve

Serve with your favorite dip or enjoy them as their own snack. Enjoy your crispy Cava pita chips.
